Workshop opens in Kharkiv, Urkaine

November 2018The first phase of construction at our new project location for the multiplication of painter training in Ukraine has been completed and the location has officially opened its doors.   All classrooms and facilities needed for theoretical and practical training, complete with a warehouse, offices for master craftsmen and bathroom facilities are now ready to use. The modernized vocational training program meets Western standards and will admit 28 students. During a second construction phase next year, the rooms for master painter training will be renovated and fully furnished. This project will be financed by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).

Dr. Jürgen D. Wickert
Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors

1944–2026

Dr. Jürgen D. Wickert served as an advisor even before the establishment of the Eberhard Schöck Foundation and had been a member of the Board since its founding in 1993 until today.

With his vast experience, expertise, and commitment, he significantly shaped, developed, and advanced the Foundation. His passing is a great loss for the Eberhard Schöck Foundation and for all who knew him and had the privilege of working with him.

We will always honor the memory of Dr. Jürgen D. Wickert. What he has done for our Foundation will never be forgotten.
