A goodbye to Bruno Tiedemann

The Eberhard Schöck Foundation mourns the death of Bruno Tiedemann, former Senior Ministerial Counsellor and long-standing project manager at the Foundation, who passed away on January 26, 2020 at the age of 87. Bruno Tiedemann was the initiator and the driving force behind the Foundation's model projects in Yekaterinburg in the Russian Federation and supported the foundation in his role as a project manager from 1998 to 2012. With his decades of relevant experience and his committed work, he decisively shaped and advanced vocational training in the Sverdlovsk region. The professional and personal recognition he received from our Russian partners is evidenced, among other things, by his admission to the Academy for Vocational Training of the Russian Federation and the award of an honorary doctorate from the Russian State University for Vocational Pedagogy in Yekaterinburg. Bruno Tiedemann has also had a decisive influence on the work of our foundation and has earned great merits in the process. The current orientation of the Eberhard Schöck Foundation nor its model projects in the Russian Federation, Ukraine and Moldova would have been possible without him. In Bruno Tiedemann we are losing a highly esteemed colleague, partner and friend whose memory we will always honor.
