Agreement to support the charitable organization WERKstattSchule signed

With its project “LÄUFT?!”, WERKstattSCHULE e.V. - a charitable organization based in Heidelberg, Germany -, supports young people who have left school without graduating, are sometimes homeless and may have a criminal record in navigating the transition from school to work life.  Through craft and artistic activities, youths between the ages of 15 and 25 are taught and allowed to experience their personal skills and potential. They experience structuring their days, commitment and personal responsibility with the aim of being reintegrated into societal structures (e.g. graduating school, internship, apprenticeship, reliable living arrangements, etc.).  Through the joint development of products that can be manufactured and sold under the professional guidance of the WERKstattSCHULE team, these youths will have the opportunity of experiencing the labor market and testing their skills under realistic conditions in cooperation with craft enterprises. The Eberhard Schöck Foundation is supporting this project for an initial period of one year.  An agreement to this effect was signed today between Peter Möller, Managing Director of the Eberhard Schöck Foundation, and Hendrikje Lorenz, Managing Director of WERKstattSCHULE e.V. Heidelberg.
