Schöck Award for Innovation in Building and Construction 2020

February 2020Ines Tenbieg (RWTH Aachen), Nora Susanne Bies (TU Kaiserslautern), Christian Dommes (RWTH Aachen) and Jakob Boretzki (Karlsruhe Institute for Technology - KIT) are this year’s recipients of the Schöck Award for Innovation in Building and Construction. The award for pioneering research in solid construction, which is endowed with 2,500 Euro, was presented at a festive ceremony on the eve of the Ulmer BetonTage, a precast industry summit. Since the year 2000, the Eberhard Schöck Foundation, supported by Schöck Bauteile GmbH, has recognized exceptional master’s theses in the field of civil engineering with this award.

Dr. Jürgen D. Wickert
Deputy Chair of the Board of Directors

1944–2026

Dr. Jürgen D. Wickert served as an advisor even before the establishment of the Eberhard Schöck Foundation and had been a member of the Board since its founding in 1993 until today.

With his vast experience, expertise, and commitment, he significantly shaped, developed, and advanced the Foundation. His passing is a great loss for the Eberhard Schöck Foundation and for all who knew him and had the privilege of working with him.

We will always honor the memory of Dr. Jürgen D. Wickert. What he has done for our Foundation will never be forgotten.
