Projects in Ukraine

The Eberhard-Schöck-Stiftung launched its first projects in Ukraine in the western Ukranian town of Lviv in 2008.  Lviv’s old town was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998. Containing more than 10% of all the cultural monuments in Ukraine, it has a tremendous need for well-trained, skilled construction workers and qualified restorers to refurbish its building stock. Our projects help meet this need.  In the meantime, large-scale projects are also underway in Kiev, Vinnytsia and Kharkiv, mostly relating to the multiplication of vocational training programs for painters and carpenters. We also develop and organize lectures, presentations and workshops in construction engineering as well as urban architecture and planning.

For the most part, our projects in Ukraine are planned and executed by our Ukranian subsidiary, the Kiev-based Stiftung zur Förderung des Bauwesens (SFB).
